According to the vast majority of rabbis, across all denominations, egg vitrification, the preservation of these eggs, as well as the reimplantation of the embryos, are permitted for married women who can no longer become pregnant naturally.
Indeed, this process simply allows a couple (whether already existing or future) to procreate “naturally”. The sperm will indeed be the husband’s (or future husband’s), and the eggs will indeed be the woman’s.
Moreover, some rabbis even RECOMMEND this practice as a first choice. It makes it possible to avoid resorting to egg donation (from another woman), which is an extremely controversial issue in the Jewish world.
Please note: some doctors will offer to fertilise your eggs with sperm from an anonymous donor and then to freeze the resulting embryos. This procedure IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN under Jewish law. Furthermore, it means that you would no longer be able to have a child with your future spouse.
