Why freeze?

Longer studies, the difficulty of securing a stable financial situation, dedication to one’s career or the lack of a serious partner: these are some of the reasons that increasingly lead women to delay motherhood.

Today, women in their thirties still feel young, and there is no shortage of personal and professional projects that leave little room for a baby. Yet after the age of 35, fertility declines rapidly and the number of eggs gradually decreases.

“Once frozen, eggs no longer age.”

The advantages of freezing or vitrification are many: women can gain a little more time to find the future father with whom they could have a baby. Those who prefer to focus first on their career without giving up their dream of having a child also benefit from it. In short, freezing one’s eggs is a way to free oneself from the pressure of the biological clock.

It is of course preferable to marry young and to have children naturally. Choosing to freeze one’s eggs is not a first-choice option, but rather the result of life in modern society, which has pushed the family into second place.
